The cattle are calming down nicely. They are eating stuff pretty well and I [nate] am happy with the impact. Put them in the fiddle head patch today, all the fiddle heads were dead though. Spread seeds (leftover from glen ellen) from the road, down the hill to the bare spott that is the fiddle head patch. They like to eat the dried up birdsfoot trefoil and in general they seem to be eating the grass even though its pretty crappy. we’ll see how their gaining, I suspect they’re not breaking any records.
